The Public Relations Society of America Phoenix chapter (PRSA Phoenix) presented nearly 70 awards during its annual 2022 Copper Anvil Awards Ceremony. Over 20 companies and public relations firms received awards for their outstanding campaigns, tactics, and more. Special award categories included agency of the year, diversity driver, and the judges award.

“The Copper Anvil Awards have a storied history of recognizing the most impactful public relations campaigns, tactics, and strategies, and it was wonderful to join our peers and celebrate everyone’s success this year,” said Erica Fetherston, President of PRSA Phoenix. “The Valley’s public relations industry has always been so collaborative and supportive for one another, and the Copper Anvils are just another example of that spirit.”

City of Phoenix Street Transportation earned the Best Team Award and Aker Ink PR & Marketing earned Agency of the Year. The brand new Diversity Driver award that honors leaders in our field who demonstrate a commitment to excellence in equity and inclusion with clients, campaigns, or organizations for which they represent was presented to the Town of Queen Creek. Finally, the coveted Judge’s Award, which is presented to the campaign or tactic that the reciprocating judging chapter felt best defined public relations excellence, was presented to the Arizona Humane Society.

Rachael Clifford of 10 to 1 Public Relations was awarded the annual Up and Comer award, recognizing her growth and achievements as a new PR professional. Ryan Narramore was honored with the prestigious Percy Award. Established in 1960, the Percy Award is PRSA Phoenix’s highest honor and is only given when a panel of past award recipients agrees on a deserving practitioner. An active member of PRSA, Narramore currently serves as the past chair of the Public Relations Society of America’s Western District and previously served on the Phoenix Chapter Board of Directors in a variety of roles. Narramore leverages his more than 16 years of public relations, advertising, marketing and communications experience in his current role at Valley of the Sun United Way.
