Sweetwater Strings to perform at PRSA Phoenix Copper Anvil Awards

We have a special introduction to the entertainment at this year’s PRSA Phoenix Copper Anvils ceremony on Oct. 10 at the Showcase Room in Tempe.
Sweetwater Strings is an award-winning group of musicians that have performed live music for weddings, cocktail parties, corporate events and professional recording artists in Phoenix since 2007. They offer various modern music arrangements, featuring string quartet, guitar and violin, cello, harp and piano. They can customize packages from soloists to chamber orchestras to best suit an event’s needs.
Owner of Sweetwater Strings, Eily Hallagan, has been the manager, event planner and performer in the group since its founding. She is classically trained and has performed in several orchestras as well as conducting high school orchestra for ten years. Eily also owns Valley Violins, a Scottsdale shop that specializes in selling, renting and restoring instruments. She’s performing at the event alongside guitarist Kevin Huang, a New York native and Julliard trained musician.
PRSA Copper Anvils Committee member Laura Slawny saw the group perform at a recent event at the Phoenix Zoo called Candlelight Open Air: Rock Classics on Strings, and thought they’d make a great fit for the upcoming event.
“Eily’s string quartet gave a stunning performance that would be perfect for any live event. Copper Anvil attendees will appreciate her musical adaptation of rock and pop songs ranging from Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga to the Beatles and Gun N’ Roses,” said Slawny.
