Erica Fetherston named 2024 Percy Award Recipient

PHOENIX (Oct. 11, 2024) — Erica Fetherston, Vice President at 10 to 1 Public Relations, was named the 2024 Percy Award recipient by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Phoenix Chapter. Fetherston was presented the award—the highest individual honor bestowed by the Chapter—at the annual Copper Anvil Awards ceremony on October 10 in recognition of her service to PRSA’s Phoenix Chapter and Western District.
Established in 1960, the Percy Award is earned by a professional who has demonstrated excellence in the practice of public relations is an active supporter of PRSA Phoenix and has made positive contributions to the Phoenix community. The award is only given when a panel of past recipients agrees on a deserving practitioner.
Fetherston is an active member of the PRSA Phoenix Chapter and served as Membership Chair and Board member from 2018-2020. Fetherston developed creative strategies and helped to keep the Phoenix Chapter membership healthy even through the trying times in 2020 when many other chapters across the country saw a significant decrease.
As President, in 2022 she spearheaded the migration of the Chapter website to Starchapter, consolidating several tools for more efficient costs and processes. She led the charge to reorganize the Chapter’s digital files so records would be easier to access and available to future leadership members. She also helped to deepen the Phoenix Chapter’s collaboration with the Tucson PRSA Chapter, as well as supported the launch of its “diversity dialogues” initiative. In 2023, she acted as Copper Anvils event chair and had one of the Chapter’s most successful events in recent history. Fetherston acted as Western District Representative in 2023, ensuring that the Phoenix Chapter stayed aware of activities at the regional and national levels.
Fetherston’s commitment to the Phoenix community reaches beyond PRSA. She is an active member of Women and Philanthropy with the ASU Foundation for a New American University and is a founding board member of the newly launched nonprofit; Serve the Future AZ.
Fetherston has more than a decade of experience in communications, public relations, social media management, digital marketing, political campaigns, and public affairs. As a Vice President at 10 to 1 Public Relations, she leads teams to create and execute strategic communications plans and campaigns to deliver results for clients in various industries. She is also part of the management team, where she takes a lead role in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the growing firm.
Erica has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Philosophy from Arizona State University.
