Ryan Narramore, APR, Named 2022 Percy Award Winner by the Public Relations Society of America Phoenix Chapter

Ryan Narramore, APR, vice president, Brand & Marketing, at Valley of the Sun United Way, was named the 2022 Percy Award recipient by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Phoenix Chapter. Narramore received the award at the chapter’s annual Copper Anvil Awards ceremony. He was recognized for his service to PRSA’s Phoenix Chapter, Western District and National office.
An active member of PRSA, Narramore currently serves as the past chair of the PRSA’s Western District. As chair, he prioritized increased collaboration among chapters through programming for member benefit, and creating spaces for chapter leaders to share ideas, best practices and successes. Prior to that, he served on the Phoenix Chapter Board of Directors in a variety of roles, including treasurer, secretary and on several committees. He also recently served on the PRSA National Board Nominating Committee and, in the past, served as a Leadership Assembly Delegate.
A Valley native, Narramore has more than 16 years of public relations, advertising, marketing, and communications experience. In his current role at Valley of the Sun United Way, he strategizes, develops and manages the brand strategy and a multi-faceted marketing plan to inform, engage, deepen relationships with and drive action among donors, volunteers, corporate leaders, nonprofit and school partners, community leaders, Board of Directors, elected officials, and other audiences. Previously, Narramore led Southwest Human Development’s marketing and communications efforts for 10 years. His work experience also includes technology, sports and government organizations.
Established in 1960, the Percy Award is only given when a panel of past award recipients agrees on a deserving practitioner. PRSA Phoenix supports public relations professionals from throughout the Valley. The chapter works to enhance its members’ professionalism and to support public relations students at the state’s universities and colleges.
